GANGA BEATS CAUVERY!!!
GANGA - 173 (20 OVERS)
SP-58 Nishaant-41 Shortage took 2 wickets Bangi took 3 wickets and Susheel took 2 wickets There were 2 runouts, Dileep took two good catches and DAGA took one awsome catch!!! Thanx to the xcellent umpiring, effort by Kaas and also the tremendous performance by all the team members..which helped in our victory..!! CAUVERY was Allout for 68 in 15 overs!! Thnx to all the supporters who cheered our team to victory!!... GO GANGA!!!

SP takes Ganga into Round 2 of Cricket!!

This shows the time and the number of Ganga players who were at the ground for the First knockout match against Saras. Saras on the other hand an army of cricketers ( mostly freshies randomly picked from the 176 they got this year ) who had reached the ground at 12:30pm itself. Some the excuses our cricketers gave for coming late....
Player 1 : “ I was putting a complain in CR...the paneer was as hard as rock !! “
Player 2: “ My girlfriend called me to wish good luck...lost track of time”
Player3 : “ I had FR work for Saarang”
Player 4 : “ The queue in RR food court was very long”
Player 5: “ I was cleaning my whites”
Well , after Nishanth scolded them , it was time to start. We lost the toss and were suppose to bowl first. Decent start. We got a wicket in the 4th over , a runout. Well done by Meena in the field who threw it back to Kaas ( Debut match. Debut match as a keeper too ), who had all the time in the world to dismantle the stumps. Then it was a loooong partnership where the 2 batsmen scored 50s. This was a very painful time. Though the bowling was still decent by Batta , Bangi , Hawa , Abhishek.We were able to take plenty of wickets in the last 4 overs. Both Meena and Shortage were “ On-A-Hattrick” situations. Meena bowled leg-spin today. Susheel must have been N pained. He has been practising the Leg-spin for 2 years now , and Meena suddenly comes and bowls them with ease!! We restricted them to 133 finally.
Our batting. 134 to win. Knock-out match. Lot of pressure. Hawa got out in the 2nd over itself. Nishanth started confidently. Atleast a boundary an over. After Hawa came Uncle. Who would have thought that this guy would play one of the best innings I have seen in schroeter ever. He started of slow. Very slow. I mean , very very slow. Nishant got N pained. He was abusing him on the pitch. Since SP wasn’t hitting , nishanth was trying to go for the kill and got out as a result. This is what nishanth had to say after he came back to the pavilion...
“ Maa ki Choo** , Behen ka Lau** , Bhosd** ke....jab woh out hoga...main uski Gaan* maar doonga”
After hearing nishanth’s blissfully structured speech , I was very pained. We just couldn’t afford to lose this match. Aditya , Meena ,and myself fell cheaply. But uncle was still there. As batsmen were falling in front of him , he stood there. Seriously , he just stood there. He wasn’t running very well, I thought. Some of the salient features of his innings...
1) He ran like animal(s). Initially like a Cow. And later like a Cheetah. Or a raging bull.
2) He spanked Karthik Ram. For N runs.
3) Dint lose hope even after wickets kept tumbling.
4) He spanked Karthik Ram. For N runs.
5) He took an Awsesome catch too. During fielding .
6) He spanked Karthik Ram. For N runs.
Bangi was able to scoop out some really good Byes and Leg-byes. But most importantly he stayed there while Sp was doing all the hitting( and spanking of Karthik ram ).

41 of 6 overs. I think dileep got out in this over.

25 of 4 overs.
14 of 3 overs.
8 of 2 overs. Bangi got out in this over.
0 of the last. Kaas remained not out at 0.
This was the story at the end. An awesome WIN !!! SP did it for Ganga!! He was brilliant , absolutely stunning. FIGHT. Thats the word that describes his innings.
Saras got knocked out AGAIN. And by Ganga too , AGAIN.
A team meeting followed the celebrations. This is what nishaanth said in it...
To Shortage “ SEE da...u r the Senior bowler..ok...blah blah blah....”
To Kaas “ See da , u r the senior keeper..ok..blah blah blah...”
To Bangi “ SEE da...u r the Senior spinner..ok...blah blah blah....”
To Wagon-R “ SEE da...u r the Senior bowler..ok...blah blah blah....”.
Wagon “ But I am a freshie!! “
Nishant “ SO what da...u r the senior freshie...( and the blah continues )”
After this the team headed for guru, had water melon juice and gossiped N. About Jumanjis girl friend ,about Uncle heroics , and some other topics which I couldn’t understand because of my limited Gult. But all in all , it was a very satisfying win , and the team enjoyed it. Thats what is important. Now we play 3 more matches in the 2nd round Leagues. Lets hope the “Senior” players keep up the tempo and deliver their best
